PROJECT DESIGNER + PROJECT MANAGER
A fourth generation Texan, Jacob followed his interest in craft and design eastward from the plains to North Carolina (after a pit-stop in Alaska and an undergraduate degree in psychology) where he earned his Master of Architecture degree from the College of Design at North Carolina State University. Jacob joined Vines Architecture in 2015 as a project designer and brings a wide range of experience encompassing all phases of the design and construction process.
Prior to joining Vines Architecture, Jacob was a project manager and designer at Frank Harmon Architect, a nationally recognized design studio in Raleigh. His project experience ranges from the Prairie Ridge Chimney Swift Tower for the Museum of Life and Science to the Carolyn and Maurice Lebauer Park in downtown Greensboro, NC. The latter, due for completion Spring 2016, will be a 3 1/2 acre destination park and will become the heart of a new cultural arts district for the Greensboro area. Other notable projects included the renovation and adaptation of the 1890s era textile mill located in Star, NC for the non-profit organization Central Park NC, the Huberman-Bromer Mountain Retreat located in the Uwharrie National Forest, and the Seven Sisters Residence, a low impact, sustainable coastal home located on St. Helena Island, SC.
